OpenG2P at IIIT-Bangalore Partners with Co-Develop to Advance Global Digital Government to Person (G2P) Solutions

This partnership aims to accelerate the deployment of OpenG2P’s open-source platform for enabling G2P delivery systems globally.

Bengaluru, November 2023: OpenG2P and Co-Develop are pleased to announce a partnership to accelerate OpenG2P's mission to enable inclusive and efficient Government-to-Person (G2P) delivery systems.

OpenG2P provides an open-source platform to build solutions that streamline and enhance the performance of G2P systems that play a crucial role in disbursing social benefits, subsidies, and other essential payments to residents, fostering economic stability and social welfare.

Initial OpenG2P-based solutions have been successfully deployed and there has been active interest in rolling out national-level G2P solutions. With Co-Develop’s investment, OpenG2P is set to extend assistance to countries striving to modernise their G2P infrastructure.

Co-Develop is a global non-profit fund helping countries accelerate their digital transformation journeys by leveraging safe and inclusive shared digital public infrastructure (DPI) at scale. Co-Develop makes investments to unlock bottlenecks in the adoption of safe and inclusive shared digital infrastructure by countries and learn about the impact of shared infrastructure as countries go through with their digitisation efforts.

We are thrilled to receive this catalytic support from Co-Develop. The collaboration is poised to bring about positive change by equipping nations with the tools and capacity needed to modernise their G2P delivery systems and improve the lives of their citizens.
—   Prof. S. Rajagopalan President of OpenG2P

This partnership with Co-Develop marks a crucial milestone for OpenG2P. The investment will contribute towards the effort to offer customised solutions, local capacity-building, and technical support for national-scale implementation to countries. Both parties will work towards building a robust local ecosystem of digital public infrastructure through collaboration with public and private partners.

OpenG2P has demonstrated an ability to rapidly meet the growing demand for a key DPI building block, G2P Benefit Transfers. We are excited to work with them to expand to multiple countries in an effort to support greater social protection and financial inclusion.
— Lindsey Crumbaugh Global Head of Investments at Co-Develop
